Our Music Tech Event (Round Five) Is Here! And this time it's all about starting, managing, and making your Music Tech company (or project) profitable.

The Music Technology Group Presents:

Startup Lessons from Music Tech Entrepreneurs and Venture Capitalists.

We have partnered with leading global venture capital seed fund and startup accelerator 500 Startups (http://500.co/) to bring you an entrepreneurial-focused event. Our agenda looks great (see below), with excellent presenters from 500 Startups and music startup DownToJam (https://downtojam.com).

As usual, pizza, snacks, drinks, and beer will be served--all free of charge (hence the need to RSVP to this event).

About our presenters, speakers, and the event agenda:

Troy Fullerton - Co-Founder and CEO, DownToJam, Inc. (https://downtojam.com)

Talk: "Backstage Pass: The Story of Tech Startup DownToJam.com"

It’s 2016. You’re a musician seeking other musicians to start a new project, to fill a spot in your band, or simply to jam for fun. What do you do? Troy Fullerton, Co-Founder and CEO of Toronto-based startup DownToJam.com, believes the best option for musicians today is his company's free social network. In this presentation, he'll take you back to the beginning and walk you through the successes and failures that helped his startup reinvent the way musicians connect.

Selcuk Atli - Venture Partner, 500 Startups (http://500.co)

Talk: "Opportunities in Music Technology: Distribution, Monetization and Creation."

Selcuk Atli is a Venture Partner at 500 Startups by day and a singer song writer by night. In this presentation he will give a brief background on the similarities of his startup and musical journeys, and provide an investor's perspective into three distinct opportunities for startups in music technology: Distribution, Monetization and Creation.

We're looking for interesting material related to the intersection of music and technology, e.g. music production tools/techniques, licensing landscape, music startup adventure stories, new product demos (but not sales pitches!), just to name a few examples.

Please follow us on Twitter at @MusicTechTO (https://twitter.com/MusicTechTO) and like us on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/musictechnologygroup/)
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Do you need volunteers?

Yes! We're growing very fast and are looking for individuals willing to help with promotion and on the day of with manning the door.
