"WEDNESDAY NIGHT BRISK" Lake Hollywood to Mt. Lee (Hollywood Sign)

Time - Meet at 6:15 p.m. , leave at 6:30 p.m. SHARP!!!!
Return by 8:45-9:00 p.m.
Distance - 4.5 miles
Elevation gain - approx 1200'
Difficulty: INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED ... No beginners.

Hike from Lake Hollywood to the Hollywood Sign. Mostly on a single track trail that is steep in portions. Some rocky portions, but no "scrambling". We will spend about 20 minutes at the top, then return via the same trail.

This is a fast paced BRISK hike intended to give us a decent workout as well as enjoyment of the scenery. THERE IS NO TRAIL RUNNING but it is not a slow "coffee klatch" hike either... (Interestingly defined in the dictionary as "a social occasion where people have conversations about unimportant things")

We will meet at the corner of Lake Hollywood Dr. where it turns into Wonder View Dr.
Here is a picture of what the corner looks like were we meet. DO NOT go all the way down to the reservoir. The address above is the closest address to where we will meet.

Suggested to bring

• Headlamp - bring all the bright white you like for this hike I'm perfectly fine with it if you need it!
• Good shoes, trail runners may be best for this one.
• Plenty of water.
• Maybe a camera.
• Snack for the top. Parking should be OK anywhere in the area but please pay attention to the signs. Most parking in the area is until 9 p.m. ONLY!!!
