Icehouse Saddle Hike

This hike is crossed post with another group. I will be the hike leader for both groups.

Distance: 7.2 miles out and back.

Elevation: 2660 ft. gain/lose

Difficulty: 5/10

Duration: Moderate pace

Description: This will be short hike up to Icehouse Saddle and back. For those who wish to take on more challenge, you continue on to other peaks of your choice. Please do let me know in advance so that I know not to wait for you. After reaching the Saddle, I will return back to the trail head. I just need to get back on time for my prior engagement.

Recommendation: At least 3 liters of water/electrolytes, snack/lunch, Hiking boots, trekking poles.

Direction: From 210 Freeway, exit Baseline Road. Head west on Baseline. Turn right on Pandua Road and drive 2 miles to Mt Badly Road. Continue on Badly oad until you reach Icehouse canyon parking lots. A National Forest Adventure Pass (http://www.simpsoncity.com/hiking/adventurepass.html) is required for parking. The parking lot can get full on weekends. If the parking lot is full, you can park alongside the road. Pay close attention to the posted signs.
