You have a 10 minute grace period. After that, we're off!
STATS:
~ 9 miles
~ 3-4 hours RT
~ 3000 elevation gain
~ Advance and strenuous
This is an out-and-back hike to Jones and Hastings on a well-maintained and well-traveled trail with LOTS of switchbacks. The first set of trails lead to George's Cabin where we will break and snack before hitting the second set of trails to the saddle, followed by a final 300 ft of steep climb to Jones. We will take a 5 - 10 min. break at Jones and proceed another 1 - 1.25 grueling uphill miles to Hastings where we will take a longer 10 - 15 minute break to refuel, enjoy the views, and return to the cars the same way we came. If you are unable to keep pace with the pack, we will pick you up on our way back.
NOTE: Please DO NOT linger around in the parking lot; we meet by the trailhead signage opposite to the restroom.
What to bring:
~ Poles, hat, sun screen, electrolytes, pain relievers, bug repellent, and at least 3 l of water.
