The National Association of S8 Landlords (NASL)/Section8HCVLandord.com was formed in 2010, to bring together like minded professionals who provides rental housing to low-to-moderate income and affordable housing tenants. The primary objectives of the organization is to enhance the business opportunities of our members while providing education, training, current information, services, technical assistance, support through advocacy and resources that can help a landlord, real estate investor, property owner, real estate agent or property manager make or save thousands of dollars each year.
We strive to work collaboratively with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and local Housing Authorities to promote favorable public policy changes, serve as a business tool for the success of our members, create a more cooperative and streamlined approach for the betterment of the program.
NASL achieves its mission through a combination of regular meetings, quarterly trainings and seminars, and networking events. Additional networking opportunities occur during our annual conferences which are held normally in June or July of each year. Our e-newsletters, provides a comprehensive overview of what is happening in the affordable housing industry and lets you know how it will affect you. Membership to NASL is open to any landlord, real estate investor, property owner, real estate agent, property manager or all nonprofit and for-profit housing developers, technical consultants, lenders, local government staff, and advocates.
NASL’s founder is Sterling Bethea, Senior Vice President. Mr. Bethea has been working in the affordable housing field, specifically with public housing organizations in Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher programs, development, senior level management and operations of communities in Georgia and North Carolina since 1990.
