Food Crisis--Large Gardens Needed

The weather patterns have changed, which has resulted in droughts in some places, floods in some places, freezes in some places. All that bad weather causes the farmers to have misfortune--crop failures, shortage of foods.

The old farmer's almanac predicts there is going to be more droughts including this year. People, who grow home gardens, can attend to watering the plants better to get the good harvest.

I have read that the average size person eats 2000 pounds of food each year. So just growing a few hundred pounds of food is not much at all, maybe enough for a couple of months for one person. There are other family members, some of them are sick and /or old, and need food too. In some cases, there are friends who are co-owners of property and land, who need food for themselves and their family too.

It is very important for this year of 2012 that every one, who has yard space, to grow large gardens. But how many people know about the farmers having misfortune--crop failures, shortage of foods. I doubt that the mainstream media, newspapers, radio, and television, will notify the public. So, it is wise for individual citizens and religions to tell the people they should plant large gardens this year.

It is wise for you to talk to or send this e-mail to family members and other people telling them how important it is to have large gardens this year. If many people start talking about this very important need, then maybe many more people will have a large garden. It is a matter of life and death.
