The Northeast Atlanta Networking Group started a few years ago, and we have continued meeting on a regular basis since that time. We recently moved to Meetup! The group meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month in the NE section of metro Atlanta. Members begin arriving at 11:30am, and the formal portion of the meeting begins at noon and ends at 1:00pm.

The Northeast Atlanta Networking Group is open for anyone to attend (max 35 per meeting) who is interested in networking and promoting their business. The group meets at the Atlanta Marriott Century Center off of Clairmont Road and I-85 (2000 Century Blvd. Ne, Atlanta, GA 30345). There are no membership fees or dues at this time, but an RSVP is required to attend. 

The only cost of the group would be paying for the cost of your lunch at the Marriott. Since we have no membership fees, room fees or anything else along those lines, it is expected that lunch is ordered when attending the meeting. 

The meeting itself lasts for an hour, but we encourage people to arrive at 11:30am for a time of open networking. This is the time when you will really have the chance to meet and speak with people. If you plan to hand out pamphlets, flyers, etc., please arrive at 11:30am to sit them out in the eating area prior to everyone coming into the room for lunch at noon. Once we begin the formal portion of the meeting at noon, only the featured speakers can hand out materials during their speaking time.

The meeting itself starts at 12:05pm (allowing time for the food to get out), and is designed for no more than 35 people per meeting:

  • everyone attending will have 60 seconds to talk about their business
  • there will be a 1-2 minute time for brief announcements for other networking events. This is not a time to promote a business.
  • two individuals will have the opportunity to speak for 6-7 minutes
  • we conclude the meeting by drawing speakers for the next event
