Typescript - making JavaScript safe - Phil Denoncourt

Coverity is sponsoring pizza at this meeting.

Writing large scale JavaScript is difficult. The lack of structure and the difficult in enforcing conventions make maintaining these types of applications difficult. Typescript helps by adding structure and type safety, while still emitting JavaScript. We'll review the features of Typescript, tooling, and how it relates to it's competitors.

Hi NEMD, I will be attending this event representing Coverity, the evening's pizza sponsor. I am looking forward to the brief opportunity to tell you all a bit about what we do and the exciting developments for our company in the C# space. As a thank you we will be raffling a Kindle Fire which the lucky winner will take home with them from the event. Looking forward to it!

I highly recommend Phil's talk for any .Net developers interested in TypeScript. I had the opportunity to hear Phil present TypeScript at Boston CodeCamp 20.
