Announcing a new Meetup for North End Get Out And Have Fun!!

What: Post work hike - St. Edwards State Park perimiter walk

When: Monday, June 21,[masked]:30 PM

St Edward State Park
14339 Juanita Dr NE
Kenmore, WA 98028

Hi All,

Here is a close in walk/hike/run. St. Edwards State Park in Kenmore. The perimeter loop is around 2 miles. Elevation change is about 580 feet. Since the end of the trail ends at the other side of the facility, we could turn back and do it the other way for a 4 mile route. With the little elevation change, the whole thing should be done in an hour.

We may break up into two groups based upon everyone's ability. I'll have a pretty minimal pack (maybe 10 pounds) compared to what I am used to in the mountains (38 pounds), so I'll probably be close to a full jog shortly after starting.

I'll be leaving the North end of Bothell around 6pm if anyone in the area would like to carpool to the hike.

Bikely Plotted Trail (guesstimate)

St. Edwards State Park Map

I'll be bringing some printed maps with the trails marked to hand out for the groups we might break up into. Following along with the map link above, here is the route I plan we'll be taking:

  • Parking: North end of the park in the parking loop with the label "Storage Sheds"
  • We'll be starting at the trail #2 trail head down to the lake and Trail #1
  • Trail #1 along the lake to Trail #7
  • Trail #7 back up the hill to the Trail #9/Trail #10 split
  • Trail #10 to it's trailhead.
  • Reverse to the beginning

From the #10 tailhead, individuals can decide if they want to make the return trip, or, make the short walk back to the parking lot from there.
