Wanted: smallish group of adventurous, spontaneous, LIFE LOVER, smiley walkers who recognize summer is slipping away fast. Cleveland Botanical Gardens are usually a little wilted by this point in a hot dry summer. Not this year! They're lush and beautiful. Bring your camera and walking shoes. Meet in the lobby of the Garden at NOON.
If you are coming from the Akron area, you are welcome to carpool or follow in your car. Meet at Lonnie's at 11 AM, 814 Brunsdorph Rd Fairlawn 44333. My cell is[masked] if you need something.
We'll walk the gardens for a couple hours and then walk to the Barking Spider on the Case Western U campus a few blocks away for a free classical concert from 3 till 5. It is presented by students of the Cleveland Institute of Music. These young people, who will be professional musicians for the rest of their lives, do this the first Sunday of the month for 2 hours. I have heard world class performances.
At 5 we'll adjourn to Murray Hill (close by) for a patio or deck dinner at Trattoria or Guarinos. When we're full, well cross the street to Corbos or Prestis for a Canolli desert. Then well waddle around the galleries or nap. jk.
The beauty of this day and a tight schedule is you can pick us up if you have an early conflict or drop off if you need to leave. No worries mate.
