Hike up the Creek to Under Brandywine Falls

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE DESCRIPTION!!  SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION IF WATER IS TOO HIGH!!

We will start in the Brandywine Falls parking lot and walk down the Gorge Trail to the creek crossing.  At this point we will start hiking up the creek, in the water!  I'm not sure how long the creek walk is but the hike will take 1-2 hours in the water.  We will go all the way to almost under Brandywine Falls.  If you have ever looked down from the stairs, looking up is a whole new view.  We will then walk back down the creek and finish the Gorge loop back to the parking lot. Be sure to wear shoes that you can get wet.  The rocks are very slippery!!  There are many beautiful picture opportunities but there is a chance you may fall and get wet, so please make sure your electronics are in a waterproof container or plastic bags.  The pace in the water will be slow but somewhat dangerous. Please be sure when you sign up that you are comfortable walking on unstable, wet, rocky ground. And if you are new to the group, please introduce yourself to the group, a lot of us have been hiking many times together, but we are friendly and always welcome new hikers.

If you are unfamiliar with the trail, please ask for help before we start hiking.

Afterwards, we can eat at Pat Dee's in Northfield.

As always, hike at your own risk.

Weather conditions will be perfect, the low water levels may make the rocks more slippery

Sorry, do not want to take a chance with my knee and wet rocks. If something changes for the hike, I will change my RSVP

You could always just do the reg. Hike if water is too high instead of canceling.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
