Community Appreciation Day Picnic @ Bayport Aerodrome (23N)

The Bayport Aerodrome Society will be hosting their annual Community Appreciation Day Picnic at the Bayport Aerodrome (23N) on September 8th, 2013 from 12 noon to 4:00 PM. There is plenty for the whole family to see and do. Food, fun, guided museum tours, people choice award, flying skills demonstrations and a chance to ride free in an antique airplane.

Food will be available for purchase as a fund raiser for the Bayport Aerodrome.
If you've never flown into the Bayport Aerodrome, go to for video directions. TPA: 600/641 - Rwy 18/36 - 2740 x 150 - Turf in Good Condition - Com: 122.7
If you prefer an asphalt runway, KISP is close by. Park at Mid Island and take a short ride to 23N.

    Great Event. Dropped in early in the 150. Shot the breeze with other 150 members who also fly out of there. Thanks to Stuart Bain who was airboss and Mike De Mita for being there and Nick for the ride in your Stearman (see attached pics)

    This was a superb day for flying. What an amazing turnout, great crowd, lots of kids. Many antique aircrafts to watch takeoff and land or just admire up close in the grass. Huge BBQ lines, food, drinks and staff provided by Target. Picnic tables space and tree and canopy shade were a welcome treat. CAP Cadets were helping out directing cars and airplanes and there was even a live band. Many free rides in antique airplanes raffled off to people with lots of children just having a fun day.
