The conference this weekend I mentioned is: http://www.osmoces.org/ There will be Arduino and Raspberry Pi workshops. And the keynote speaker is a JPL engineer who worked on Mars Odyssey!

Hope you were able to get in! For future reference, the door is typically open before NERP. If not there is a buzzer on the door.

Where's the buzzer? I just saw a bunch of deadbolts and a keypad. Is it in the keypad somewhere?

I'm intrigued by TI's super low cost MSP430, so it was great to get an overview from Matt Cashdollar as well as find out what FRAM is about, too. Ed's presentation of ArtBus was a good lesson on the virtue of a simple serial protocol.

Please post if you've like to present something. Anything embedded system related is fair game (SBCs like Pi/Beagle/OLinuXino, microcrontrollers, FPGA, etc). Presentations could be project you're working on, demo of a new board/product, or just to share research you've done.

Cool! This will be my first time there. What format do presentations generally take?

Hi - whatever you are most comfortable with. There is a projector if you want to show slides or demo on your computer.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
