Since many of us are tapping into various available resources in the market to jumpstart our respective ventures, I thought it worthwhile to bring in some folks that are focused on helping startups get traction via their organizations.

Nick Landry is a mobility pioneer and expert specializing in the design and production of mobile applications for consumers and the enterprise using diverse cross-platform technologies including Windows Phone, Windows 8, iOS, Android, Mobile Web, Xamarin and PhoneGap.

Nick is a Senior Technical Evangelist with Microsoft in the New York Metro area and works with developers, students and IT pros to help them learn, adopt and use the Microsoft developer platform to design and build the next generation of apps for Windows Phone, Windows 8 and Windows Azure.

Nick is also a Nokia Developer Ambassador whose mandate is to educate and support Windows Phone developers to maximize their success.

Mario Casabona, TechLaunch (http://techlaunch.com/)

Mario M. Casabona is an Entrepreneur and active Angel Investor. In 2012 he founded and is CEO of TechLaunch LLC, NJ’s Technology Accelerator which provides seed capital, co-working space, LaunchPad (business boot-camp), mentors, and access to investors for aspiring entrepreneurs.

TechLaunch is New Jersey’s premier Technology Accelerator, created to drive the commercialization of innovative technology within the State.

Steve Silberman & Nancy Bukovina, SCORE (http://centraljersey.score.org/)

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. SCORE is supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and thanks to its network of 11,000+ volunteers, they are able to deliver services at no charge.

Steve Silberman is a CPA who spent the majority of his career in the women’s apparel industry. He was a manufacturer ladies apparel for many years and later became chief financial officer of a large swimwear company.

Nancy Bukovina is a telecommunications manager specializing in developing and managing products for the Global 1000 customer base. Additionally, she has been a private consultant in the area of corporate governance for government contractors.

Chris Edwards, Somerset County Business Partnership (http://www.scbp.org/)

The Somerset County Business Partnership is a Chamber of Commerce serving the businesses and residents of Somerset County. Our history as a Chamber goes back to 1919. In 2002, our Chamber merged with two other countywide business organizations to create the Somerset County Business Partnership, giving the Somerset County a single voice to represent their interests.

Chris Edwards is the Director of Business Development for the Somerset County Business Partnership. Chris received his B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University and still calls New Brunswick his home. Previous to his work at the Business Partnership, Chris was the Director of Development for the United Way of Ocean County, spear heading their disaster relief efforts in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. Additionally, Chris worked for two Congressmen both in New Jersey and on Capitol Hill.
