About Matt & Tammy
Matt & Tammy Laverty have been the best of friends and partners in life since their college days at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Through the years, they have pursued numerous creative endeavors together. They are a little like complimentary colors: each one makes the other stronger and more vibrant. Together, they are a powerful team. Atomic Veggie Studios was created as a direct result of their desire to work together and bring their unique brand of visual storytelling to the world.
Matt has over 15 years of experience creating engaging content for entertainment, technology and business. He's developed animated content, apps, games and interactive experiences for clients from Cartoon Network to PBS, MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon. He has worked in series development, game development and content creation for a variety of industries and projects, including VR. For him, creating content is all about making immersive worlds, which has been his passion since childhood.
Tammy's professional background includes mobile apps, design, education & marketing (in various combinations). She is passionately driven to pursue ideas and innovations at the intersection of technology, brain science and creativity, and loves sharing them with others. She has a fascination with the connections that come from shared experiences that likely stems from international travels she set out on as a student. Her wanderlust led to meeting people from far flung and incredibly different places like Bali, Hong Kong & Moscow, and shaped her perception of the world. More recently, through her work for Monmouth Arts, she has developed a love for storytelling through art and creative experiences that have the power to break down barriers.
