I have been volunteering with Diane at Saint Marks Episcopal Church Community Outreach Center where they serve breakfast and lunch every day to people in need and also distribute food to them. On the second Thursday of each month they get a large shipment from the USDA/SFPP that needs to be unloaded, sorted and then distributed to the people when they come. The unloading and sorting takes place from 9am to 1pm and then from 1- 6pm they need people to walk a family through to select their items to take home to re-stock their pantries. I plan to go at 9am and will stay as long as I can.
You can come any time during this 9am-6pm time frame and stay at little or as long as you can, they will appreciate any amount of time that you give. They also will appreciate if you bring any grocery bags for the people to use to carry things home. Please call the center if you have further questions 732-787-1075 and like their facebook page for updates too:

Come out and make a difference! Hope to see YOU there!
Love, Cassie
