Christmas Eve Open House

Growing up back in Ohio it was tradition to have an "open house" all Christmas Eve. My Mom would put out a spread and people would stop in all evening long to share the Christmas spirit and visit for a spell. It was nice to catch up with those we had spent a little or a lot of time with during the year past.

Well my mom has passed over a few years ago and it's been even longer since I was home for a Christmas so I figured it was high time I got back to tradition and I figured my meetup family would do nicely!

Now I know a lot of you will already have plans and that's great but those of you who do not, or those of you who want to pop in for a bit on your way to or from something else please know that you are welcome. I also know that not all of you are Christian and that's fine, everyone is welcome as there's no service going on or anything just socializing, and perhaps some game playing.

I am going to make a ham and I don't know what else yet. Please bring something to eat or drink and post what you are bringing.

note my house is small but I do not want to limit who can come as I don't want anyone to be alone who does not want to be so I will have candles and a fire out back so dress warm in case there is spill over

Menu:

Cassie: ham and rolls, Jan, Joe, and Fran/cheesecake, Nancy/lasagne

Items needed: bag of ice and bottles of soda, veggie platter, any hors-d'œuvre , fresh fruit platter, shrimp and cocktail sauce, wine
