HEADLINER---JOE FERNANDES---

A Cubish (half-Cuban, half-Irish) comedian who grew up in Texas, Joe had an affinity for the sport of baseball and dreamed of playing for the Houston Astros. When his body didn't grow up with his dreams he decided to start performing comedy.

Joe has been performing standup consistently for 5 and a half years now and was a finalist for the Andy Kaufman Awards as well as a member of the Chicago Just For Laughs Festival in 2011. He also has performed in the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas, the Boston Comedy Festival, the Laughing Stock Comedy Festival, and the Laughing Devil Festival.

Armed with smart and satirical jokes as well as bits that involve character work and audience participation, he always finds a way to make the crowd have fun. He is a regular on the Chicago comedy scene, having done shows at virtually every club in the city. Joe has opened for Natasha Leggero, Jon Lovitz, Nick Griffin and Harland Williams

Dinner Update: I made dinner reservations for 7:30pm. I made it for 8 dinner guests, but can be changed if more members are interested. It'll give us plenty of time to eat and socialize. Seating for the comedy begins at 9:00pm and show starts at 9:30pm-So if anyone who hasn't responded for dinner wants to join us, let me know so I can change the guests amount. Thanks!
