Promenade of Mermaids

Who wants to see a mermaid parade? It's probably not as big as the one I went to on Coney Island but who knows it may be someday and we can say we were there in the beginning. Check out the info below and if you think you want to join us meet me in front of Langosta Lounge (the boardwalk side) at 1:30 pm. We can claim some space, maybe bring a chair, and watch them as they go by at 2pm. I will probably hang around some, get some ice cream or something before heading home. Those of you who want to stay later or meet earlier can post here and find others to join you.

Join us in all of your finest sea treasured shimmer on the Asbury Park boardwalk to celebrate summer! We will have a route map on our website soon, but we will be set up at the 2nd avenue pavilion, which is the space on the boardwalk between the water park and Watermark, the Promenade starts and ends there. Registration is 12:00pm-2:00pm and the Promenade begins at 2:00pm heading north on the boardwalk to Convention Hall and then turns around and promenades back. Prizes for best costume will be awarded at 3:00pm. The promenade is free but to be entered in the costume contest, the charge is $5.See you on August 27th!
