Keyport Summer Concert

Its that time of year again! Keyport's outdoor summer concert series line up is here: http://www.visitkeyport.org/event/summer-concert-series/

You can see the lineup and details below and here is the plan: If I am going I will RSVP YES and I will set my zebra print chair with a meetup sign up in front of the gazebo. (pictured below) I will either have food with me or I will go somewhere and get something, so if I am not there at the exact moment you arrive there is no reason why you can't set up your chair and wait or walk about too (some weeks they also have things going on on main street). If I can not go I will RSVP No but the event will still be listed and if anyone wants to host feel free! All you have to do is show up and if you feel like it post a meetup sign so people can find you. Trust me this is a nice FREE night out!

Part of ou)r Keyport Thursdays (http://www.visitkeyport.org/event/keyport-thursdays/), we’ve got a talented lineup of original artists and cover bands playing jazz, blues, rockabilly, vintage R&B, motown, dance favorites and rock n’ roll of every flavor and color—all for you, and all for free.

Concerts are held at our Minipark on West Front Street. There’s plenty of seating, but trust us they, they fill up quick. We recommend you bring extra seats, grab some delicious local fare and be ready to start the weekend just a little early.

LINEUP7/7/16 THE FINNS--- I will NOT be at this one will be at movie This eight-piece blues based band is highlighted by the extraordinary guitar work of Bennie HiFi coupled with a three piece horn section that will keep you moving all evening long. Veterans of the local music scene, they have a strong following in Europe as well.

7/14/16 DAWG WHISTLE This trio of veteran musicians is led by Paul Whistler who after many years on the West Coast has returned to his roots and teamed up with Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame drummer Vinny “Mad Dog” Lopez (The E Street Band) to the give audiences their unique take on the songs that have inspired their careers.

7/21/16 LISA SHERMAN’S DISCO CONNECTION The talented Lisa Sherman who has graced our stage fronting several different bands over the years is joined by some of the Shore’s most talented musicians including Layonne Holmes (Bon Jovi touring band) to electrify Keyport with the most popular songs of the Disco Era. So put on your club clothes and dancing shoes and join us for a fun-filled night of tunes that will keep you out of your seat.

7/28/16 PAT GUADAGNO Pat is a Jersey Shore fixture who is at home in many genres of music and pays tribute to Bob Dylan every May with “Bobfest”. He will be accompanied by percussionist Richie Blackwell to cover a wide spectrum of musical styles. Pat’s wit and ability to connect with the audience make him a crowd favorite.

8/4/16 NRG This Freehold-based band is at home with songs from the seventies and eighties. The vocals of Lee Ottman range from heart-felt ballads to rockers of the era. Their first visit to Keyport should be a memorable one–don’t miss it.

8/18/16 CARNABY STREET Led by gifted singer/guitarist Chris Roselle, this trio performs terrific renditions of songs of the British Invasion, capturing the essence of the originals. Bassist Pete Bremy (Vanilla Fudge) holds down the bottom and shines on vocals as well. Come out to here familiar tunes as well as some chestnuts you might have forgotten.

8/25/16 THE BARNACLE BROTHERS As their business card reads, this duo will “grow on you”. Their vocal harmonies and twin guitar interplay bring alive songs from the seventies up till today. Fans of of the Eagles, Tom Petty and others are in for a musical treat.

9/1/16 THE WOODFIELD BROTHERS The quintessential “Bar Band”, they deliver a wide range of classic and modern tunes that will thoroughly entertain the listener. Come out and help us welcome them to the Keyport waterfront for what is sure to be a memorable evening of music.
