I live in Sayreville so I can totally relate with your parents and brother having to leave and losing their house. I live on macarthur ave but I'm at the top of the street near the corner of main st. so I did not suffer from any flooding but I can sympathize with all my neighbors who did lose it all. I'm gald your family is safe and thankfully they are ok.. all the 'stuff' can be replaced.. but their lives cannot.

Subject: [divorcesupport-298] Hope everyone is safe after storm - need some assistance

I hope everyone is safe after the storm. Live in Bridgewater and have no power since just after midnight on Monday night/Tuesday morning.
But I do have hot water and top of stove works. Unfortunately my parents house in Sayreville was flooded with 18 inches on first floor and my brother was unable to get his car out in time. I have my mother's wedding picture and my brother is safe which all that matters!

Never has it been this bad and we are trying to salvage what we can.
Looking for help, assistance, experience and knowledge dealing with this. There is a basement to be clean out - we are hoping to save my grandmother's china cabinet and a old rocking horse. Furnance, hot water heater, washer and dryer are toast. So if anyone is able to lend a hand, has knowledge on working with FEMA, insurance companies and the legalities that go with this or a contractor who knows what we have to rip up and what can be salvaged - please let me know. Either txt me on my cell at[masked] or send me an email at [address removed], I would greatly appreciate it.

Just remember also to be appreciative of our loved ones plus be kind to those workers and volunteers who are on cleanup and repair work.

Everyone is in my thoughts and prayers.
