Christian Praise Dance Day Slated;

Groups May Register Now To Perform

MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – A Christian Praise Dance Day has been scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Carousel Theatre at Quassy Amusement Park, Quassy announced today.

Performance timeslots for the event are being scheduled now by contacting Gina Eller at (203) 650-7250 or ginarenee@optonline.net .

Participating praise dance teams must provide their own compact disc for playback on the outdoor theatre’s sound system. The program is slated to kick off at noon and throughout the afternoon.

The entertainment is free of charge for park guests with only a $6 parking fee at Quassy. There are fees for rides, food, waterpark and attractions.

Quassy Amusement Park opens for its 104th season on April 28. The park is home to the award-winning “Wooden Warrior” roller coaster as well as more than two-dozen other rides and attractions. New for 2012 is the “Crazy Cups” family tea cup ride.

Praise Dance Day Set

A combined church liturgical dance team performs at the Carousel Theatre at Quassy Amusement Park during the summer of 2011. On Aug. 18 the park will host a Christian Praise Dance Day. Participation is $10 per dancer and $15 per guest. Fees include a catered BBQ luncheon and a free pass to the rides, beach and water park and free parking.
