Come on out and dance to Blues, R&B, Jazz and even contemporary music! Dance 'West Coast Swing' in a friendly environment. West Coast Swing is different than Big Band swing dancing (also called Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, or East Coast Swing [ECS]). WCS is a bit slower-paced because the music is slower paced than Big Band music. WCS is a bit harder to learn than ECS, yet allows much improvisation and 'partnering' as a result.
Workshops in West Coast Swing (Basics and Beyond Basics) are held on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursdays - see the Meetup schedule for details!!
The next WCS Basics Series begins October 15, 2009.
