See http://www.nova-labs.org/blog/2012/08/23/kids-take-over-nova-labs-for-take-apart-night/ for a summary of one of our last events, which was very successful and fun. Now we're ready for another!

We're going to be disassembling a set of non-functioning computer and office equipment to see what makes it all tick; bring along anything like this that you have sitting around the house that would normally go out in the trash. Some parts will be saved for future projects and we'll recycle what we can.

This is part of the familiarization process for using tools and seeing how mechanical mechanisms work. Please bring several sizes of standard and phillips head screwdrivers, hex (metric and english/SAE) and Torx (T15 and T10) screwdriver bits, and pliers. Polycarbonate safety glasses are encouraged, hammers are not!

We do not have enough room for everyone to park in our shared parking lot. Please park across the street, map here: http://nova-labs.org/contact/#parking (http://www.nova-labs.org/contact/#parking)
