Maker-fun: Intro to Lego Robotics Challenges

Details
Lego Maker Fun challenges are designed to introduce the skills needed to create and program Lego robots to perform specialized tasks that are often necessary to solve competition problems. Learn to free-build attachments and program robots without to implement your own ideas, without needing instructions.
The goal of Maker-Fun is to fill the gap between EV3 classes which rely on instruction driven projects and FLL competitions where the students must develop an intuitive feel for how to solve problems to accomplish specific tasks.
Whether you are planning to join a club or not, these skills are valuable for creative thinking and problem-solving for your kids. This class gives beginners much needed practice working as a team (just one other child), analyzing the Lego challenge, and designing key elements such as armature, lifting devices, etc.
Teams consist of 2 kids and are rotated to stations designed to focus them on building mechanics, programming, and/or team ship.
Ages 7-12. NO exceptions please. Please respond to the survey question about your child's age when signing up. A non-response will mean dis-enrollment with no refund. We would like to be fair to all the participants who need a team member.
