    Hi Mike DelNegro,

I am currently developing a database for our company. I work in the medical field and I really believe that MSAccess is the right tool for what I am trying to work on. My goal ultimately is to have a better understanding of database structure and programming. Thanks!

Great feedback, Wes. I think you make an excellent point. We'll definitely work on securing more developer-oriented talks in the future.

This meetup group has definitely focused on the DBA/ops side of MySQL so far, rather than the developer side (which would probably be more interesting for newbies wanting to learn how to use MySQL or relational databases (SQL) in general). Any plans for developer-oriented talks in the future, Mike? (This is not a complaint--the two meetups so far have had excellent content.)

David/Odie: Thank you for posting your comments. I have the same questions for both of you that can help us possibly help you: What are you trying to accomplish? What do you hope to gain by learning SQL/MSAccess? What challenge(s) are you looking to meet?

I am currently training my self on using MS Access and I don't have much background in programming. Is learning SQL be significant with what I am trying to learn? Thanks!
