This is a climb to the summit of the Tycho Central Peak in Tycho Crater on the moon. The elevation gain is about 6,600 feet. You will not need crampons, because there is no snow. You will need a good spacesuit, because there is no air. If you don't own a spacesuit, you can rent one at REI. Trekking poles are helpful, and as always, no cotton.
The roundtrip driving distance is 478,000 miles, so please bring $47,800 for your driver.
Please indicate in your RSVP if you have a four-wheel-drive vehicle capable of space flight, and if you are willing to drive.
We will stop to eat on the way back at the International Space Station, where they have a very good IPA (interplanetary ale) on tap.
