Happy New Year NW Pugs Members!

We have exciting new events planned for 2012! With this comes a new requirement as well. Health & Safety for ALL the pugs is our top priority!

As of January 1, 2012, it is now mandatory that all pug/pug mix that attend playtimes have the Bordetella vaccine and are current on vaccinations.

There are 2 ways you can provide proof:

~ Ask your vet to email you the records, then forward them to us

OR

~ Bring a hard copy to the next playtime you attend

Members who do not provide documentation prior to a playtime or on the day of will not be allowed to attend the playtime.

If you are not familiar with the Bordetella vaccine or vacccinations, please consult with your veterinarian.

For the health and safety of all pugs, please do not bring your pug to playtimes if they show signs of illness or are not feeling well.

As a reminder: All members who attend each playtime sign a waiver form from the facilities we use stating that their pugs are in good health and are current on vaccinations including Bordetella.

NW Pugs is a group of Pug Parents who bring their pugs to come and play on the eastside of Seattle.  We have our indoor playtimes in Issaquah and Woodinville. We also have "Pugs in the Park" playtimes are on Mercer Island in the summer months!

We are a pug/pug mix group that meets up twice a month.  NW Pugs has been well established since June 2006 and has now come back to Meetup.com!  We always welcome new pug/pug mix members.

Why pug/pug mix only?  Due to renting the indoor facilities for our groups private use, we have to abide by the facility's rules and regulations for liablility reasons.

When we have "Pugs in the Park" playtimes, other breeds will be there as the park is open to the public.  This will not be just for our group or pug/pug mix only.

Since June 2006, we have had a total of 127 playtimes, parties and "Pugs in the Park" playtimes!  Due to coming back on meetup.com it shows that we have only had 42 meetups so far but we have had 127!

Interested in having your pug/pug mix come to the 128th playtime or a themed party?  Then join our group! It is easy to do by following Meetup.com's sign up procedure.

Members come from as far as Tacoma, Federal Way, Sea Tac, Seattle, Lynnwood, Everett, Monroe and Marysville too!

Please note: We are a play group where people bring their own pugs to come, play and socialize.  We are not a rescue or part of Seattle Pug Rescue. We, as a group, support Seattle Pug Rescue by having Fundraisers and making donations to help out the foster pugs. If you need to surrender your pug or would like to adopt a foster please contact Seattle Pug Rescue through their website.
