Here are a few Q & A about NW Pugs. These are some of the questions that have been asked through the years. If you have a question that is not posted here please do not hesitate to contact us!

Q: Why do I need my Pug/Pug mix to be current on DA2PP & Rabies vaccinations
including Bordetella to attend the playtimes?

A: This is for the health and safety for all pug/pug mix that attend the playtimes. This requirement is
on the waiver form that is signed by all members who attend each playtime.

Q: How long has NW Pugs been around?

A: We have had the group since June 2006!

Q: Why does it say on this meetup site that the group was founded on March 27, 2010 and there have only been a few meetups?

A: We were on meetup.com for a few years, then left meetup and took the group to a private level. After a year and half, we realized that trying to email all of the members was a lot more work than we had planned! So, this is when we signed back up! There are no settings on the site to change this information to our current numbers.

Q: Were their other names for this group in the past 5 years?

A: Yes! It was The Bellevue-Seattle Pug Meetup Group, The Pug Club and now it is NW Pugs! Bellevue-Seattle-Everett.

Q: Why are the indoor playtimes/parties for pugs and pug mix only?

A: It is due to liability reasons and the agreement we have with the owner of the facilities we use.

Q: Why do pug puppies have to be older than 4 months to attend?

A: This is for the health & safety of a young puppy. Puppies should not be exposed to other animals until they are fully vaccinated. Always ask your vet when your young puppy will be ready for a playtime with other pugs!

Q: How often do you have playtimes?

A: Usually twice a month.

Q. What does NW Pugs supply at the indoor playtimes?

A: Toys, clean up supplies for accidents & water. Door prizes too!

Q: Why do I need to RSVP if I want to attend a playtime, theme party or "Pugs in the Park" playtime?

A: There are a few reasons why. 1) There is a pug/people limit for the rental room. 2) We need to make sure for themed parties that we have enough supplies for all that attend. 3) Plus it shows other Pug Parents that others are attending too!

Q: When playtimes are indoors, can the pugs be off leash?

A: Yes!

Q: Is there a fee to sign up and be a member of NW Pugs?

A: No, it is free to sign up. You only pay a fee if you attend the playtimes and parties.

Q: Why is there an entry fee for indoor playtimes?

A: To pay for the room rental and have money in the Playtime Fund to purchase prizes, party supplies, clean up supplies, make donations to rescue groups, pay meetup.com fees and other items needed to keep the group going!

Q: Is there an entry fee for park playtimes?

A: No.

Q: Can I make a donation to NW Pugs?

A: YES! Many members have made donations to the Playtime Fund!

Q: The prizes you give away at the parties and playtimes cost more than the entry fee. Why is the entry fee only $6-$7 per Pug?

A: We keep our eye out for the best prices and stock up when we find a bargain! Plus we have access to by wholesale.

Q: When there is a playtime at a dog park, is it just for our groups use?

A: No. We meet at public off leash dog parks and they are open to the public.

Q: Is NW Pugs a business?

A: No. NW Pugs is a hobby of ours. We love our pugs and enjoy spoiling them! We hope you would like to join us, so we can spoil your pug too!

Q: Are you also a pug rescue group?

A: No. We are a group of pug parents that enjoy bringing our pugs together to play and socialize with one another.
