To this point, the club has worked by our giving each other support for new projects -- but since our attendance has been inconsistent, we're had to rethink the mission: Our new approach will be to make sure that we choose one main project to focus on, in which the experienced people in the group will be able to use their professional knowledge to produce a great result.
At the same time, we will continue other smaller projects proposed by individuals in the group who want to gain experience by collaborating with each other. Some of the best projects last fall were from ideas which were developed on the spot.
And for everyone, the idea is still to pool resources so we can lower production and marketing costs. A group of filmmakers using the same sources will enable us to get better prices than if we stand alone.
Our next meeting will be mid-March on a weekday late-afternoon-evening. Stay tuned! - and please feell free to contact me with questions or suggestions.
