Third NY hardware Startup Meetup

Hey hardware fanatics,

It's time for the 3rd hardware meetup, and this time we're being hosted by NYU Poly's awesome incubator on Varick street. This meetup's speakers will mostly be from out of town, given that a lot of them are here for the Open Hardware Summit. We'll have two main speakers this time around. Eric Pan will provide some insights into manufacturing in China through his experiences founding Seeed Studio. Nick Pinkston will give his view on what's happening in hardware in the US and how startups can go about doing low to medium volume manufacturing. We'll also have a couple of startups focused on flying objects - should be awesome.

Agenda:

7:00 - 7:15pm: arrival, pizza and beer

7:15 - 7:35pm: Eric Pan, CEO of Seeed Studio, China

7:35 - 7:55pm: Nick Pinkston, founder of Conspicuous Production, SF Hardware meetup and all round hardware guru

7:55 - 8:05pm: Sameer Parekh, founder of Falkor Systems

8:05 - 8:15pm: Geoffrey Barrows, founder of Centeye

8:15 - 9:30pm: networking

As usual, there'll be pizza and beer, and I've put a $5 fee (through paypal) to cover it. If you prefer not to use paypal, then RSVP and you can give me the money in person on the night (although I'd prefer it if you pay online).

Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!

Excellent! Though the presenters should have been told to bring their own laptop with them...
