Talks this Weds on US Visas and Intl VC

New York, NY
Hi everyone,

Looking forward to our first talk this Wednesday at 7pm on International VC  and US Visas. There is going to be two great topics.   Michael Petrucelli who literally ran U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services as a director at one point, is going to discuss his current tech startup to make the US Visa process simpler.   He is also going to share his knowledge about what US visa options are available for startup technologists.  Afterwards, we're going to have a talk by David Teten, who is replacing John Franken for the evening.   David Teten is a Partner at ff VC and is very active in ff's international investments in countries such as Canada, Israel, UK.

Regarding tickets, the first 20 signups are free.  For those that signed up early, and didn't get tickets, don't worry.  We have a checklist of the first 20 names/tickets.  If you still want to get a ticket in hand, we will email privately a signup code on the ticketing site.  Our friends at BoomSet (a great set of guys from Turkey but now based in NYC) set this up here:

Keep in mind, we are still a new meetup and always looking for new topics and ideas for events, so feel free to email the group/me with suggestions.

Finally, I hope everyone is recovering okay from the Sandy storm.  We lost power for the better part of a week, but fared much better than others.  A group of us kept having immediate questions that weren't getting answered easily online.  So we participated in the NY virtual hackathon this week with the idea of building a Q&A site to help answer local Sandy questions.  One member of our team even flew in from Germany to join us this week, and a Dane from LA helped us virtually.  If you are interested,  you can follow/ask/connect with us on facebook.
