Palantir Phoenix: Data Analysis at Scale

Details

Please join Geoff Stowe, a Forward Deployed Engineer at Palantir Technologies, who will present Palantir’s approach to analyzing large data sets. Palantir works with governments and financial institutions that routinely encounter data at the terabyte and petabyte scale. The platform is used to detect patterns of fraud, uncover hidden connections, and even locate criminals. Geoff will discuss the unique Information Retrieval challenges Palantir faces, and how it has used Cassandra in unusual ways to address them.

Geoffrey Stowe is an Engineer in Palantir’s Commercial team. He is an inventor of Palantir Phoenix, the platform used to efficiently analyze petabyte scale data sets. Prior to Palantir Geoff spent 5 years in the Intelligence Community developing and deploying software related to cyber security. He holds a degree in computer science from Dartmouth College.
