Hi, I'm Chris. 38 years old. I was an avid D&Der & AD&Der back in the 80s. Haven't played in awhile, but I'd like to get into it again. I live in North Jersey, but I'm in NYC almost daily.
Avid player back in the 80s, which means Original D&D and AD&D 1st Ed., but willing to learn the new system(s). I pick up things very quickly.
All the old-school books. Love 'em all, and I've recently re-aquired almost all of them.
Weekly, at night (as my schedule allows) and on weekends.
Clerics, Monks. But I'll play whatever the party needs, if necessary.
I haven't played in a while, and when I did play back in the 80s, we had a couple of guys who liked to DM. So the answer is no, and I'd need to re-familiarize myself with the game to even consider DMing now.
Top notch. Look forward to playing again.
Hey Chris... 4e is slightly different from the older style, but really easy to get into. (I had to adjust from "to hit armor class zero' days myself)... Easiest way is to just show up at a meetup and sit in, or make up 4th ed character on your own, and just come by and jump in. Everyone here is pretty helpful. Welcome to the group!
