  • This location is shown only to members

For our December meetup, we’re going to be focusing on big data infrastructure technology with some exciting startups in the space.

We’ll start the event with a talk by the dashing Joseph Turian, Ph.D., a leading data scientist and President of MetaOptimize, entitled “How to do ‘AI’ in 2013”.

We’ll then go into our standard presentations and panel format, with the following presenters:

• Oren J. Falkowitz, Co-Founder and CEO, sqrrl

• Eric Frenkiel, Co-Founder and CEO, MemSQL

• Dhruv Bansal, Co-Founder and CSO, Infochimps

As a side note, December marks the one-year anniversary of this meetup, and it’s been a lot of fun to see it grow from 0 to almost 2,300 members in this short period of time. Many thanks to all of you for being active participants in this community.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
