Connect By Sharing Spiritual Places in NYC

Spiritual places abound in NYC. Apart from sites in which people worship according to their beliefs, there are also galleries and museums where artworks speak to the human condition; institutions that teach methods for conscious evolution; and natural settings that reach us through their beauty and call to peace.

We enter a spiritual place for renewal; a change in consciousness; a movement from separation to connection, from stress to peace, from fear to love. Such a place quiets the mind, opens the heart, and brings us closer to our true nature.

By "spiritual", I'm not focusing on religious teachings. Rather, I mean (for example):

• Moments in which you feel connected to something greater than yourself

• Situations in which your perception shifts and you feel you are experiencing the world differently and perhaps more deeply or with greater awareness or even with a sense of knowledge or wisdom

• Awakening moments in which you feel jolted out of the ordinary and left different from the experience

• Moments of heart opening with compassion for a stranger you witness struggling in some way or a stranger you see as like yourself however different the outer appearance
