Hello ladies!
Hope you're having a wonderful week so far! So, I noticed that we've started to learn how to play D&D! SO. AWESOME. I play a weekly with this FANTASTIC group of people at a store in Brooklyn, and I'd love to for some of you ladies to come and play!

What's Encounters?
D&D Encounters is an exciting, weekly campaign that plays out one epic encounter at a time. Each session only takes 1-2 hours to play, so it’s easy to fit your game in after school or work. And each week there’s a new and exciting challenge. You can jump in anytime and it's ok if you miss a week or two or a month!

The group is a mix of new and old players and it's HANDS DOWN the BEST D&D group in the city. No joke. I've played with a lot of groups and always felt like I was being talked down and dismissed. There are female DMs and female players and it's honestly, one of my favorite days of the week.

The neat thing is that some of us make a full night of it and do happy hour and wings at 6pm, play some D&D and then go to a bar around the corner for D&D drink specials and this happens EVERY Wednesday!

The story this Season:

D&D Encounters season 13, the spring 2013 season, begins on April 10 with week 0. The adventure itself – Storm Over Neverwinter– runs 8 weeks from April 17-June 5.

This is an adventure for characters level 3-6. This is a first for D&D Encounters. Players usually start at level 1 so you'll have the opportunity to get a feeling for a more higher level game.

The Adventure

Storm Over Neverwinter takes place in the world of Neverwinter. Just think of it as a world equivalent to Dragon Age/ Lord of The Rings.

The adventure folks facing off against a cult called the Ashmadai, worshipers of Asmodeus. Innocent inhabitants of Neverwinter are being abducted only to be returned to their homes a few days later. The symbol of Asmodeus is branded onto their skin and they bear physical and mental scars. As the adventurers investigate they tangle with numerous evil-doers and eventually are led to Helm’s Hold, a cathedral once dedicated to Helm.

Through the adventure there is a literal storm brewing which threatens Neverwinter’s fragile stability and rebuilding efforts. The thrilling climax of the adventure takes place during the worst of the storm and the adventurers have to face monsters and the elements of the storm.

The adventure is broken into two chapters, four encounters each.

This season’s adventure returns to the familiar linear story-telling, rewards and loot for your characters, and much much more!

See you at Encounters on Wednesday!

We're going to be creating level 3 characters for this Season so everyone's characters start at 3. Doesn't matter what your skill level is. All are welcome. Don't worry. :)

Imagine encounters like a cop show. Usually the story is that you're a rookie cop whose been sent out to find out what is going on in a particular area. This season, it just happens to be that the show starts you out as a Sergeant with more experience, abilities, and powers. You'll be able to kick more ass and meet up with more powerful bad guys. ... Hopefully my ridiculous analogy made sense. XD

It would be 4.0 but we're also playing D&D Next.

I've never played before - should I create all my information and character stuff before I show up or do I do that when I get there?

You do it when you get there. This week is actually session 0 so it's made so that folks can get together, make characters, socialize, paint mini's, and all around have a good time. :)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
