This club's goal is to have great discussions on renowned works in both fiction and non-fiction. This would include great works of literature, history, autobiographies, biographies, plays etc. Great books and great discussions are our goal; books that profoundly explore human nature. Especially for fiction it would be great to hear from people who have read the book at different phases of their lives and to hear how their opinions of the book have changed.
We will have monthly meeting with most books picked a couple months in advance. However, if we all agee, we can plan even farther out for some really challenging books. As for location I am looking for a regular spot but hope that if the club develops a core group of people we can have more varied and interesting meetup locations to discuss the books such as restaurants, museums, parks etc.
"Oh Brave new world, that there are such people in it!" Miranda from Shakespeare's The Tempest.
An easier and shorter book than the last few, this ironically titled book is a brilliant and far sighted satire on the effects of technology on our humanity. How Huxley's satirical dystopia written 80 years ago compares with our time should make for a great discussion.
