PAYMENT DEADLINE: FRIDAY, DEC 27th - $100 via PayPal

Every year I host a winter trip to the Adirondacks in Lake Placid with a really awesome cabin, great amenities and a cool group of people... This year will be no exception and I'll try to keep the tradition going with the same type of lodging! There is a limit of 10 people for the cabin so that everyone can be guaranteed a comfortable bed. I love going up here and doing a combination of downhill skiing, cross country skiing, winter hiking and ice climbing. Most of the activities will be posted as separate events hosted by other organizers, or we'll just wing it...

Here are pictures from the last few trips.

NOTE: Priority lodging will be given to regular members with a good history of attendance, timely payments, mental stability, people who read event descriptions and make an effort to contact me directly. :P

I enjoyed everyone's company on this trip (outdoors, as well as indoors playing Cards Against Humanity)--especially my hiking buddies Gregory, Tania, Orla, Chandresh, and Manny and Shirley (thanks to you two for your encouragement when I was feeling anxious about my snowshoe mishap!)...Thanks to all for your company on Mt Marcy & Cascade trail...Gregory, you definitely got me to the top of Marcy! If left to my own devices, I don't think I'd have had enough confidence/wherewithal to make it up there. I just followed your lead and achieved much more than I thought possible! I really appreciate that experience and also your energy and great attitude despite your poor blistering heels! :-/ I am looking forward to the next trip with all of you...and thank you again, Manny for organizing such a fun and challenging rock, as always! :)

Many thanks to Manny for bringing together a fantastic bunch of hearty spirited adventurers. It was great to see Marcy again and this time with its winter cloak on. I feel blessed to have made new friends, seen familiar faces, and spent time together outdoors and in. Thank you Danielle for your presence on the journey to Marcy's summit. Saturday 14miles, 3300ft elevation gain, 5.5 hours up 4 down. Sunday Orla, Tania, Chandresh, Danielle, and I hiked the approach to Cascade but turned around when we reached our time limit. Beautiful challenging trail. We'll have to return someday to make it to the summit. Looking forward to the next adventure!

Hey guys just a heads up that I'm doing a Mt Marcy winter hike on Saturday. You will need good winter gear with microspikes and snowshoes required!

If we get a few more ppl, can we get two cabins?

    December 18, 2013

    • Manny

Sorry Hani, for this trip I can only rent 1 house. Renting 2 houses is a bit too much work and money for me to front for a 2-day weekend.

      OK. Enjoy your weekend.

Hi guys, I'm setting the payment deadline for this trip to be Friday, Dec 27th. I've narrowed it down to a couple houses I want to rent that can sleep 8-10. If only 8 people pay by then, I will book the house that sleeps that number.

The first 8 people that pay via PayPal get the bed space. Please be aware that some of these beds are Queens/Kings and you have to be comfortable sharing the space. The last 2 people that pay will have to sleep on the pullout beds/couch/airbeds.
