The Super Spartan was unbelievable. I've never run on slopes like those before. My bf said, "No amount of hill training could've trained us for that." He was right, but it was worth doing b/c it was so challenging & crazy fun!

As I've said, I think it would be fun if we could coordinate with everyone who is up there around the same as me. I tried e-mailing Serafin yesterday, but I haven't heard back yet.

If anyone wants to contact me, my cell # is (203)[masked], and my e-mail is [masked]
If anyone else wants to give me their phone number so we can meet up at the race that'd be great.

Finally, I've got a backup plan, but if anyone is driving from Manhattan and has room in their car, I'd love to share the cost of the trip.

They're not too strict. I've been to quite a few. They might ask if it's your heat... Just say yes

Thanks. I'm still planning on trying to run at that time, unless everyone else tells me they are running at a different time.

Are we going to all try and at least start together? I'm pretty sure I signed up for the afternoon session, since the time above was listed 12-3. I don't mind doing it whenever, I just need to know what time I should be there by.

I am in the 9:15am heat. Anybody want to join me? Will be walking up the mountain and maybe running down.

I know this is still a couple of weeks away, but I figured I would ask if anyone had yet made plans or travel arrangements. I live in Manhattan, and would be happy to share fuel & toll costs if anyone is driving. If not, I may head back to CT the night before, and drive from there (my car is in storage in CT, cause I don't need it in the city).

So my roomate convinved me to try out the Rugged Maniac, and I did that in Brooklyn just 2 weeks ago. It was a lot of fun, but that was only 3 miles. What am I getting myself in to here?

I finished that 5k obstacle race in ~35:00, but it was my first mud-run, so my experience is very limited. What sort of pace do people think they are going to set? What kind of training should I look into? 7 or 8 miles without obstacles is about the limit of what I've previously done, and that was in good conditions (cool weather, no mud, etc).

Hi! I already signed up a while back with my boyfriend under a different team name. But it would be great to run, do obstacle courses, just train/ practice leading up to the event.

So will team members actually stick by each other or go at your own pace or both?
