Description:This is a hands-on workshop intended to introduce concepts for working with Excel and VBA. Familiarity with Excel is recommended and probably necessary to get the most from the presentation. In general, a topic will be introduced for about 5 minutes and then you can practice on a sample workbook for about 5 minutes; and then we'll repeat.
Preparation:
Please have an installed version of Excel ready to go. Also, if you wish to follow along for the brief part where we tour an interface between R andExcel you may wish to download and install RExcel from
Macs: I am not familiar with how Excel performs on Apple products and I do not know if VBA is available on Macs. My ability to support apple products as related to Excel is limited.
Notes:If there's a topic you're curious about, let me know and I'll prepare and include it.
About Me: David Romoff has worked with Excel and VBA intensely for about 2 years. While I am not a Professional Excel Developer, I have seen how it used for reporting and analytics at large firms and I'm hoping to share some underlying concepts here.
