Spring Workshop 2015: Manual Mode - The Holy Trinity of Photography

Weather permitting, yours truly (Brooklyn Born (https://www.meetup.com/NYC-Photographers/members/11168689/)) will be teaching an all-in-one Manual Mode lesson that will feature the “Holy Trinity” of Photography: Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO. This will be a great opportunity for our newest members with DLSR / SLR settings to take more control of their cameras.

We will meet at the fountain at Washington Square Park. The closest subway station is West 4th Street (A, B, C, D, E, F, M).

• This event begins at 12:30pm sharp!! Please be on time!! Check for service changes and delays. Give yourself extra time to travel. The workshops usually run for approximately 1 hour. After the lesson, we will have a short Q&A and then practice Manual Mode around the park.

• Other items you may want to bring:

a. Pen & Notepad
b. Your Camera's manual - Please read it before the lesson.
c. Tripod

NOTES:

1. We will NOT be teaching you how to use your own camera. There are too many models from too many manufacturers to know them all. We can not stop the workshop to try and figure out your particular model. Again, please read your user manual and/or bring it with you for reference! You can also watch videos on YouTube. When you arrive at the class you should know how to control:

• Shooting Mode

• Aperture

• Shutter Speed

• ISO

2. You will not leave the class shooting like Ansel Adams! You must practice and mess up A LOT! After a while , it'll come naturally.

3. Please hold your questions until the end of the lesson. We will try to go around and assist anyone that needs help.
