This meeting is to practice prepared speeches, . Bring any topic you want, it may be something related to your job, college, any personal or professional project, an interesting experience or whatever you want! You may write it or just think the topic, structure, main ideas, examples or stories, and conclusion,  and improvise from there.

We will work together in a very supportive and encouraging environment, focusing on practice and feedback from the group.

Please RSVP only if you can bring something prepared (3-4 minutes )

Some suggestions:

1.  Define your goal (entertain, inform, call to action, inspire) and prepare accordingly.

2.  Find your audience interests: Why is your topic important for them? What will be the benefit for them?

3.  Be Clear:

a.  Structure: Title, Introduction (purpose/what to expect from the presentation) Body (development/reasoning/examples/facts), Conclusion (summary/conclusion/closure).

b.  Use concrete, familiar words.

c.  Speak taking into account your audience knowledge of your topic (don’t go too complex or too basic).

4.  Fill your talk with illustrations and examples. Personal experiences have greater impact.

5.   Include humor.

A small $6 contribution is required to cover room rental.

See you there!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
