Title: Scientific Computing with Python

Abstract: In this talk I'll be demoing iPython notebook, wakari and other tools available from SciPy and how you can get started using these.

Emily Chen @emchennyc will demo a way to automate large-scale data processing by using a python API to launch hadoop jobs on Amazon Elastic Map Reduce (EMR) and write the results to a local database for your app.
