Presentation on Tornado by maintainer Ben Darnell

Ben Darnell, Tornado maintainer, is giving his first public presentation on Tornado, a Python web framework and asynchronous networking library.

This talk is open to anyone who is interested but is geared toward an audience with enough experience to understand a comparison of different concurrency models. Ben will describe the overall design of the framework - why use an asynchronous framework, and why this one in particular?

We'd like to thank BuzzFeed for graciously hosting us for this event!

About the speaker: Ben Darnell has been working in Python since 2002 and maintains the Tornado web framework.  He helped to build Google Reader, Friendfeed, Brizzly, Dropbox, and Viewfinder, and now works at Square.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
