Integrated Design Workflows Using Revit 2014

  • Jun 12, 2013 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is no longer available

The continuing focus of Autodesk’s 2014 products is ‘Workflow’. The integration of Revit Architecture, Structure & MEP into a single product called ‘Revit’ represents an enhanced environment where the designer can move seamlessly between tasks in the same workflow.
Autodesk Revit software is specifically built for Building Information Modeling (BIM), empowering design and construction professionals to bring ideas from concept to construction with a coordinated and consistent model-based approach. Autodesk Revit is a single application that includes features for architectural design, MEP and structural engineering, and construction.

Roger Liucci of Microsol Resources will demonstrate the new features of the Revit 2014 platform, and illustrate the integration of Revit Architecture, Structure & MEP. This session will begin with the introduction of the new features such as energy analysis, displaced elements, interface and interoperability enhancements, materials UI enhancements, non-rectangular crop regions, alternate dimensions and room calculation point, just to name a few.

Speaker:
Roger Liucci is a building information modeling (BIM) and 3D printing specialist at Microsol Resources, an Autodesk Platinum Partner in their New York office. He has provided BIM implementation, support and training to clients such as Beyer Blinder Belle, Rafael Vinoly Architects, Pei Cobb Freed, and Diller Scofidio + Renfro to name a few.
He is particularly interested the interaction between design and technology innovation as it relates to digital fabrication and cloud computing where one can work anytime, anywhere and optimize designs with virtually infinite and mobile cloud computing power.
Among his software specialties include Autodesk Building Design Suite, Revit, Navisworks, 3DS Max Design, Showcase as well as Solibri, M-Color, Rhinoceros and he is also a certified 3D Systems technician. Roger studied Environmental Architecture at Arizona State University and has an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences from SUNY Farmingdale.
He has given talks on building information modeling and technology innovation at Autodesk University, Design on the Delaware, and the NYC Revit User Group.
