BIM and IPD Ensure Success at HOK New York
Details
** This is a joint event with the NYC Metro BIM Group (https://www.meetup.com/nyc-metro-bim) **
In 2010, HOK embarked on a mission to relocate their New York City office and transform the location into a flagship for the firm. They achieved this by using integrated project delivery (IPD) coupled with building information modeling (BIM). This case study will be presented by a panel of project team participants including the architect, mechanical engineer, construction manager and subcontractor. The presenters will share their perspectives on the successes and struggles of the process and tools used to deliver the project.
Speakers:
James Vandezande, HOK Jason Zoss, HOK Cheryl Massie, WSP Flack + Kurtz Arash Yaghoubi, Structuretone Patrick Bowe, ABCO Peerless Sprinkler Corp. Learning objectives:
Understand the benefits and limitations of integrated project delivery (IPD). Learn how the BIM-IPD process affects the work of architects and engineers. Learn how the BIM-IPD process affects construction management workflow. Learn how the BIM-IPD process affects the involvement of subcontractors. Can't attend in person?
