Integrated Design Workflows Using the Revit 2013 & Autodesk 360 Cloud Services

The focus of Autodesk’s 2013 products is ‘Workflow’. The integration of Revit Architecture, Structure & MEP into a single product called ‘Revit’ and the in-product availability of Autodesk 360 Cloud services for Rendering, Energy, and Structural Analysis represents an enhanced environment where the designer can move seamlessly between tasks in the same workflow and even between devices.

This session will begin with the introduction of the salient new features in Revit Architecture, Structure, and MEP such as the re-vamped Stair tools, ASHRAE Duct Fitting Database, and 360 Structural Analysis to name a few. We will then continue on to vignettes of workflows integrating the Autodesk 360 Cloud services both from within Revit and via the web.

Speakers:

Francis Sebastian is a BIM Specialist for Microsol Resources in New York City. He has a Master of Architecture from Texas A&M University, and he is a LEED Accredited Professional. He is responsible for providing consulting, training, technical support, model management, and implementation services to our architectural and building engineering clients. He is an Autodesk Certified Instructor and provides training for Revit Architecture, Navisworks and Ecotect Analysis. Prior to joining Microsol Resources, he worked for HOK’s New York and San Francisco offices where he was part of the team that implemented the use of Revit.

Roger Liucci is a BIM Specialist at Microsol Resources in New York City. He provides instruction as well as technical support, network administration and CADD Manager consultation, and is also a 3D Systems 3D Printer Certified Technician. Among his software specialties are AEC Building Design Suites, Revit Architecture, Revit Structure, Revit MEP, Architectural Desktop, Navisworks, 3DS Max Design, Mental Ray, Composite, Showcase, Solibri, M-Color, and Rhinoceros. Roger has been with Microsol Resources for 11 years. Prior to joining Microsol Resources, he was the CADD Manager for Ehrenkrantz Ekstut and Kuhn Architects as well as Helpern Architects. Roger studied Environmental Architecture at Arizona State University and has an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences from SUNY Farmingdale.
