Riak at ideeli

Details
Hey All,
For our February Meetup I'm pleased to announce Aaron Brown, Lead Systems Engineer at ideeli (http://ideeli.com), will be discussing how they use Riak to serve high-volume, burst traffic on a daily basis for their flash sales site. Basho has previously published a case study (http://basho.com/assets/Basho-Case-Study-ideeli.pdf) on Ideeli's production deployment that you may find interesting.
Food and Refreshments will be on Basho.
Plan to arrive between 6:30 - 7:00pm, we'll get started with the presentation shortly after 7pm.
If you are interested in speaking at a future Riak meetup, or would like to request any specific topics, feel free to email tom@basho.com
Look forward to seeing you there,
Tom (http://twitter.com/tsantero)

Ideeli, a leading online flash sales site uses Riak as a core component in serving content to its base of over 6 million users. This operationally focused discussion will go over the scaling difficulties that lead ideeli to use Riak and how Riak fits into the core architecture. You will hear about why ideeli replaced memcached with Riak as a primary caching mechanism and the operational challenges that were encountered along the way.
