Japan Earthquake Fundraiser!

Please join us for a Fundraiser to support the Japan Disaster Relief efforts.

Suggested Donation is $10 (Donations can be made in cash or checks/money orders payable to the American Red Cross referencing the Japanese earthquake) All proceeds will be donated to support the American Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. The event time is 6:30 PM to 9 PM. A record 8.9 magnitude earthquake struck Japan on March 11, near the city of Sendai. It generated a powerful 32-foot tsunami which struck northern Japan within minutes, causing widespread destruction to coastal areas and communities. A series of high magnitude aftershocks continue to hit the area. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center initially issued a tsunami warning for countries in the Pacific Ocean, but it has since been withdrawn. Since this natural disaster, the Japanese Red Cross Society has been providing critical emergency care, as well as counseling and emotional support to survivors who lost their homes and traditional way of life. The Japanese Red Cross has 2,400 nurses nationwide trained to give psychological support following major emergencies.
